Talk Club, Music and Men's Mental Health — Truuman Podcast Ep 90
About this episode
Signed to Atlantic Records. Now building communities that keep men alive.
Gavin Thorpe is a Bristol-based singer-songwriter and co-founder of Talk Club, a men's mental health movement built on talking and exercise. He recorded and co-wrote with artists across five albums before pivoting to mental health advocacy. He released "Soul to Save" for Mental Health Awareness Week to raise awareness and funds for Talk Club.
In this episode: how Talk Club started and what it does. Why exercise and conversation belong together for men. What the creative world taught Gavin about vulnerability. And why building spaces for men to talk is harder and more urgent than it sounds.
Men talk when they're moving. Gavin figured that out.
