Community, Running & Conversational Pacemakers

About this episode

Richard Loftus didn't set out to run a mental health movement. He set out to go for a run.

After facing his own struggles, he found that running opened up conversations with other men that nothing else had. Well Run Brum grew from that — a men's wellbeing running group in Birmingham that blends movement with connection, using Conversational Pacemakers to keep real conversations happening on the move.

With a career in theatre and live music, Richard understands community and storytelling. He's applying both to the question of how you actually get men talking.
