New Masculinities — Rewriting the Story — Truuman Podcast Ep 85
About this episode
He uses theatre to get men to interrogate the story they've inherited.
Michael Wilson co-directs Man Question, a theatre and education company that challenges and expands what masculinity can look like. He's run workshops in colleges, prisons, and community groups, and produces the New Masculinities Festival. His work started in 2008 and has run ever since.
In this episode: why theatre works when talking doesn't. What the "Man Box" actually looks like when you map it out. How men respond when they're given space to question their conditioning rather than defend it. And why building a new idea of masculinity matters more now than ever.
The old story isn't working. This is the alternative.
